SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS: SPONGEBOB SAVES THE DAY!
SpongeBob SquarePants: SpongeBob Saves the Day! was made to celebrate Spongebob's 20th Birthday. The design goal I established was to create an evergreen game that highlighted what people love most about Spongebob across the globe (and consistently over his past 20 years on-air): his optimism.
After reviewing research from our consumer insights team and drawing upon my own experience loving Spongebob over the years, I pitched a point-and-click adventure game that found SpongeBob helping all of his friends to have their best day ever, with references to classic episodes of Spongebob peppered throughout the environments.
Throughout the six month development, I led production, puzzle design, and narrative design for an external development team. My main responsibilities were providing design feedback at deliverables, script-doctoring 1,200 lines of point-and-click puzzle game dialogue for puzzle logic and comedic timing, managing milestones, providing updates to the show-runner, delivering feedback from the Nickelodeon brand team, and making task priority decisions with the developers.
